Long Snapper Stephen Gabbard Commits to Florida State

Long snapper Stephen Gabbard of Godby High School committed to Florida State University following in his fathers footsteps. Stephen's father was a former defensive lineman and graduate assistant at FSU. Stephen's mother and relatives also attended FSU as well linking a long line of family to the school.

“I been around the program my entire life. I belief in what coach (Jimbo) Fisher is doing and I am excited to be part of the program.”

Gabbard, a 6-foot-3, 225 pounder, has focused on long snapping since he first started playing football.

Stephen has been ranked as one of the top long snappers in the nation and has been recorded snapping in the .65 second range at 14 yards.
