As a long snapping coach I have been sent a lot of film to look at. Every once in a while I will get the occasional long snapping trick shot video which is always an attention grabber. Anyone who has been long snapping for a while has probably tried a trick shot of some kind, some however have received national attention for their trick shot skills!

Saturday May 25th I met up with long snapper Grant Studer of Apple Valley Minnesota at East Ridge High School in Woodbury. Grant has been a long snapping student of mine for about a year now and has made leaps in improvements since we first started working!
When Grant and I first started our long snapping lessons he was a freshman in high school and had been long snapping for a while. Grant was a self taught guy who was getting a ball to spiral but it would arch back to the punter and was inaccurate.

Not all long snappers were born long snappers, or even did it as their first position in high school! Some dabbled and now either play college or make careers out the skill. I was just like Marchese, a offensive lineman with dreams of playing college football.
